rutgers scandal
on monday april 1st rutgers university anounced that head basketball couch Mike Rice was fired due to physical and verbal abuse to players. this happened once a video of the former couch surfaced showing him throwing balls at is players, physically pushing players, and calling players homophombic slurs. this behavior by a coach is odviously unexceptable and the university is under fire because they didnt deal with this issue sooner. athletic director Tim Pernetti also resigned from his job du to the incident. now people think rutgers president Robert Barchi should step down as well.

Maryland and Rutgers join Big Ten
In November 2012 the University of Maryland and Rutgers Univeristy annonced that there athleic programs would compete in the Big Ten atletic conference starting the 2014-15 school year. These moves will bring the bigten to a total of 14 members with nebraska being another recent addition. Ths is a very good move for both schools because of the Big Tens recent success and there former confrences (ACC and BIG EAST) recent downfalls. Eventually his could also help the Big Ten beome the conference it ould like to become.

3 things Andy Reid and the chiefs could do with the #1 pick.
1. draft Geno Smith
Honestly I think this would be the stupidest thing they could do. Smith is highly over rated and I don't think will be a very good NFL Starter. Although Matt Cassel might be worst he played horrible this year and should loose his job indefinitely. So I could see them going this way
2. draft Jarvis Jones
Jarvis might be the best athlete in the entire draft and would be a great add to the defense. However I've ever been a fan of drafting a defensive player unless they were absolutely amazing But he did play every well this year so they could go this way.
3. trade it
what I think would be the smartest move in a week draft class. I think they should trade for some future draft picks although no one could want this pick.

Big ten basketball Rankings
BIG TEN BASKETBALL RANKINGS
some of you might think this is bias and it is partially
so with that starting at the bottom....
12. Iowa Hawkeyes
the reason the Hawkeyes are at the bottom of the list is because they are a program in rebuilding and they don't really have a great player.
11. Penn State Nittany Lions
this might come as a surprise but I honestly think Penn State is almost the worst team in the big ten
the only thing this team has going for them is there offense and that's even pretty lack luster.
10. Nebraska Cornhuskers
Now some of you might hate on me for putting Nebraska in front of Iowa and Penn State but I honestly think Nebraska has promise. Their big men have skill but lack athleticism and the need a good scoring guard but they cold contend soon.
9. Purdue Boilermakers
Its not that Purdue is a bad team they are decent but they going through a lot of transition and I am not sure their coach Matt Painter is the coach to bring the through he transition.
8. Michigan Wolverines
The most over rated team in the country. The fact of the mater is they only have one good player in Trey Burke and all their other players are over rated. Event their coach is extremely over rated.
7. Northwestern wildcats
Northwestern and coach Bill Carmody have done an amazing job after loosing star players from their last years great season.
6. Wisconsin Badgers
to be perfectly honest I have know no idea how Wisconsin made it up here but some how "you mad Bo" Bo Ryan has gotten these misfit badgers to play decent.
5. Ohio State Buckeyes
Ohio State is at 5th for 1 reason Deshaun Tomas and Aaron Craft. These 2 players have really stepped up since "Sully" left.
4. Illinois Fighting Illini
WOW..... I thought at the end of last season when Illinois fired Bruce Weber who I thought was one of the best coaches in the big ten I did not expect much from this team but the boys from Champaign showed me up.
Alright top 3...
3. Michigan State Spartans
2 words Tom Izzo. he has made these young Spartans one of the best Msu teams ive seen in a long time.
2. Minnesota Golden Gophers
SHOCKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all I have say is Tuby Smith deserves coach of the year
1. Indiana Hoosiers
all though I think their over rated you cant deny the talent on this team.
